🎯 Topic: Spin photonics at Technical University of Ostrava

Dr. Postava will provide an overview of the research activities conducted at Technical University of Ostrava in the field of spin-photonics and spectroscopic ellipsometry characterization. This seminar will highlight the experimental equipment and techniques used in these studies.

Spectroscopic ellipsometry allows for analysis across a wide spectral range, encompassing near ultraviolet, visible, infrared, and even terahertz (THz) regions. Dr. Postava will showcase the application of spintronic terahertz emitter in THz time-domain spectroscopy to capture ellipsometric response within the THz range. He will also discuss fascinating topics like the generation of surface plasmon at the interface between dielectrics and InSb.
