"Science is a journey to the future" is the motto of the 27th Festival, paying homage to the work of this year's festival patron Paweł Edmund Strzelecki (1797-1873), a traveler, geographer, geologist, researcher, and explorer.
And we - the ENSEMBLE³ team - invite you to explore the secrets of our labs, where under the supervision of distinguished scientists from around the world, crystals and modern materials are being developed. These are used in electronics, advanced medical diagnostics, space exploration, and innovations in the field of photonics. 💎🔬🪐
JOIN US ON SATURDAY 16/09/2023 FROM 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Wólczyńska Street 133

Building No. 8, IMIF
Light-based technologies are increasingly influencing our lives. Thanks to them, we enjoy fast internet, develop cutting-edge medical diagnostics, embark on space exploration, and work on new energy acquisition methods. 💡🌌
Each of us owns some electronic device, like a mobile phone, computer, or radio. Inside each one, there's a piece of crystal. We hold it in our hands when talking on the phone because it's built on this crystal's integrated circuit. In 1916, a Polish chemist, Prof. Czochralski, developed the most widely used method in the world today for crystal production. Using this method, crystals are developed in the labs of the ENSEMBLE³ Center of Excellence.
We invite you to visit our Center on Open Day. We will open our labs to visitors and show how materials with fascinating optical properties are created and how they are utilized to create innovations in photonics. 🌟
SCIENCE FESTIVAL IN WARSAW 📚🔍
PROGRAM - https://festiwalnauki.edu.pl/program/spotkania
The Science Festival is an event that annually gathers individuals interested in current research problems, research methodologies, and discoveries across various scientific fields. Festival discussions cover exact sciences, natural sciences, medicine, humanities, social sciences, as well as arts and culture. The Science Festival is open to everyone, regardless of education or age. The meetings come in the form of debates, lectures, workshops, film screenings, lab visits, exhibitions, excursions, contests, and educational games. There are engaging activities specifically organized for children, making the Science Festival a family-friendly event. The festival also offers lessons for school groups of all educational levels. 🧪🔬🎨
Events during the festival are organized by scientific, educational, culture-promoting institutions, and scientific societies. This year, we aim to recreate the atmosphere of a scientific celebration. We believe that participating in the Science Festival helps us better understand the world around us and discover questions science hasn't yet answered. 🌐🎉🎓
