On February 22-23, 2023, the AstroCeNT team was honoured to host two Nobel Laureates in Physics, Prof. Arthur B. McDonald (Canada) and Prof. Barry C. Barish (USA). The event was part of the World Copernican Congress, which officially opened in Toruń on February 19, 2023, the 550th anniversary of the birth of Nicolaus Copernicus.
We would like to thank the partners of the event: Warsaw University of Technology, National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ), Polish Astronomical Society, Polish Physical Society and Warsaw University. Honorary patronage was provided by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (MEiN) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR). The event was attended by a number of distinguished guests, including the Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Wojciech Murdzek, and other prominent figures from various universities and scientific centres in Poland and abroad.
Professor Dorota A. Pawlak and Mirosław Marek, Director of Strategy at ENSEMBLE3, were thrilled to be among the participants. We would like to thank the organisers for this unique opportunity and the chance to meet the professors.
