The European Commission has approved the first of eight national programs to implement the Partnership Agreement. The European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021-2027 program, with a budget of €7.9 billion, is the largest national program to support innovation in the European Union.
The European Fund for a Modern Economy (FENG) program is the continuation of two previous programs: Innovative Economy 2007-2013 and Smart Development 2014-2020. It is the first national program approved by the European Commission for the implementation of Cohesion Policy 2021-2027 in Poland. It includes 7.9 billion euros that will go to Polish companies.
FENG is largely a continuation of the 2014-2020 Intelligent Development Program, but is characterized by a new, comprehensive approach to the needs of entrepreneurs in carrying out research and development work and implementing their results in the company or organization. The implemented projects will not only strengthen the Polish economy, but also enable it to move to a higher level of technological and environmental progress.
