Dr. Piotr Piotrowski of ENSEMBLE³ received the Best Speaker Award at the 12th International Conference on Metamaterials, Photonic Crystals and Plasmonics META2022 for his talk titled "Enhanced Optical Effects in Doped Plasmonic Materials Fabricated by Crystal Growth Techniques." This year's event was held July 19-22, 2022, in Torremolinos, Spain.

Invited speakers included presentations by other ENSEMBLE³ team members - Dr. Johann Toudert of the Optical Nanocharacterization group and Dr. Kingshuk Bandopadhyay of the Functional Materials Technology group, led by Prof. D. A. Pawlak's group. During the conference, the results of his research were also presented in a poster session by Dr. Hamid Reza Darabian.

The international conference META provides a unique forum for scientists and students to exchange ideas on the current state-of-the-art in the fields of photonics, nanomaterials and advanced electromagnetic materials and to identify new research directions.
