Yesterday's double seminar at ENSEMBLE3, suggestively called Canadian Fairy Tales about crystallization and melting, featured two outstanding speakers from Canada (one of them of Polish descent), both experts and passionate about crystals.

Prof. Hanna Dabkowska (McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada) explored "What counts as a progress in the Optical Floating Zone Crystal Growth Method and in the International Union of Crystallography".

Prof. Hani Henein (University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada) delved into "Metastable Eutectics in the Al-Cu, Al-Si and Al-Ce systems".
