On December 15th the ENSEMBLE³ partners met in Germany at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. During the two-day meeting, members of the Consortium had the chance to discuss the shape of the new Centre of Excellence. The most lively discussion concerned the Research Agenda that is under development. The meeting enabled a free exchange of research ideas between partner institutions represented by Professor Martin Wegener (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology), Professor Concita Sibilia (Sapienza University of Rome), Professor Rainer Hillenbrand, Professor José M. Pitarke (CIC nanoGUNE), Professor Dorota A. Pawlak, and other team members.
Other issues that were discussed during the meeting were development of efficient ways of cooperation between partner institutions in order to improve research and organization performance of the new Centre of Excellence. Important aspects of the business plan were also debated.
In summary: the meeting allowed further progression of the ENSEMBLE³ research agenda and business plan. Receiving feedback from each of the international partners was crucial at this stage of plan preparation for the new Centre of Excellence.
