In Łukasiewicz - IMiF (both at the premises of the former Institute of Electron Technology and the Institute of Electronic Materials Technology) over a year ago, the pictures for the documentary "Jan Czochralski - the forefather of electronics" were shot about an outstanding chemist, material scientist, and inventor of the method of obtaining single crystals, which is commonly used today. the discovery in 1916 changed the face of modern electronics.
The time has finally come for the premiere of the film. The "Geniuses and dreamers" series has started on January 27 in Telewizja Polska. As part of this series, every week will be presented the fate of outstanding Poles who had an impact on the world heritage of science and history.
Together with the authors of the documentary about Jan Czochralski - director Katarzyna Trzaska and producer Dominika Mandla - we invite you to watch the entire series, in particular the episode devoted to prof. Jan Czochralski, which was also established thanks to the commitment of the employees of our Institute.
The episode of the series entitled "Jan Czochralski - the forefather of electronics" viewers will be able to see on February 3 on TVP 1 at 21.00.
